Professor Ibrahim Hama Rash

Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Salahaddin University-Erbil

Dr. Ibrahim Hama Rash is Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Salahaddin University-Erbil. He holds a Bachelor degree of Electronics and Communications Engineering from Salahaddin University-Erbil, the first Master degree of Science in Control Engineering from Mosul University, and the second Master degree of Science in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Staffordshire, and a PhD in Control Engineering from the University of Technology in Control Engineering from Monash University, Australia.


During his career in academia and industry, he has designed and supervised dozens of projects for international companies and agencies. He has been awarded the Endeavour Medal by the Australian Government. He has established a small training center for automation and control of new energy with the University of Karlsruhe in Germany.


In the field of writing, he published the first English-Kurdish computer dictionary in 1999, wrote two Basic school books entitled Computer Science one and Computer Science two in 2003 for the Ministry of Education-KRG, and published a book for Microsoft Word 2000 in year 2000 and published a book  for Higher Education Reform in the Kurdistan Region in English in 2013, which was introduced as an official document at the Asian University Presidents Forum in Korea. He is an Advanced member of the IEEE American Institute of Electrical and Electronics.
